TREATMENT for dogs & Cats
Intestinal Worms
Kittens and puppies are frequently born with worms, or get worms soon after birth. A huge percentage of cats and dogs will get worms at least one additional time in their lives beyond their initial puppy/kitten infestation. Fortunately, treatment for intestinal worms is relatively simple, quick, and affordable. It is important to treat this condition since some types of worms can create long-term digestive issues in pets and some can transmit to humans.
Giardia
Giardia is a common intestinal infection that affects animals and humans. Giardia is most often caused by drinking water or ingesting something that has come in contact with infected feces. Some common examples for dogs are drinking from puddles, chewing on a stick, eating grass, or even directly eating feces.
Coccidiosis
Coccidia is an intestinal tract infection caused by a single-celled organism called coccidia. Similar to giardia, coccidiosis is caused by ingesting coccidia from a contaminated environment due to infected feces.
Stressful situations (traveling or moving to a new home environment), immunosuppression, or additional chronic diseases can cause dogs to be more susceptible to coccidia infection.
